We were invited by BBDO Minneapolis to create a Christmas advertisement for the beloved brand Spam.
Inspired by classic Christmas movies, our aim was to produce a fully CGI commercial that resembled a stop-motion puppet animation. This approach was intended to evoke nostalgia and bring people's fond memories to life.
Over the Christmas holiday, I had the chance to dive back into this project and enhance the some frames for study purposes. I’m excited to share my revised versions with you.
In this project, I was responsible for working on all the modeling, texturing and shaders for the little village.
These are two close-up images showcasing all the details of the shots. The snow was created using texture, with some elements made using a volume builder and X-Particles
I had a great time designing the lighting for the main shot. It helped create the mood that set the tone for the whole film. This setting was then replicated for most of the other shots.
